Brief
Three homes designed to make everyday family life feel open and uncomplicated. Generous shared spaces, good sun and a natural connection to the garden were priorities, with practical layouts and durable materials that would continue to work well over time.
Notes
Completed between 2025 and 2026, each home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms on a 396-square-metre section. At the centre of the plan is a generous open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, with a raked ceiling bringing additional height and light. Outdoor living is positioned to the north-west to make the most of the afternoon and evening sun.
Approach
A simple palette of slimline brick and dark roofing gives the homes a clean, understated exterior. Inside, stone benchtops and Fisher & Paykel appliances sit within the open-plan kitchen, while the main bedroom includes a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite. A full family bathroom, two heat pumps and internal-access double garage make the homes practical for everyday life without compromising the simplicity of the plan.
Outcome
Three light-filled homes with a sense of space that extends beyond their footprint. The raked living areas open naturally towards the north-west gardens, while considered planning keeps the private and shared parts of each home distinct. The result is straightforward, comfortable family living designed around how the homes will actually be used.
